About the Role

We are currently looking for full-time Senior Plant Mechanic to join our workshop team! In this position you will have the opportunity to work on Council's vast fleet of vehicles; from heavy diesel trucks and plant through to light vehicles. 

The primary responsibilities of this role are to Assist the Coordinator Fleet Stores & Workshop to carry out work associated with the efficient and economical purchase, maintenance and repair of Council’s plant (including selected stationary plant), equipment and workshop fixtures.

 About You

The successful applicant will hold auto mechanical qualification/s, be experienced in servicing a range of equipment, including diesel/unleaded/2-stoke, hydraulic and electrical systems. You will have a strong attention to detail and be able to diagnose and rectify mechanical problems efficiently.

Council is offering a remuneration package circa $60,500 - $69,600 (commensurate with qualifications and experience). In addition you will have access to a range of benefits and allowances including:
